What is a Language Journal? How to make it?

KOREAN LANGUAGE JOURNAL

Hi,

What is a Language journal? You wonder, right?

I'll tell you!

In my opinion, a Language Journal is a collection of memories throughout your language learning time.

I'm using a vintage notebook as my journal, and I'm totally in love with that book! Want to know which Journal I use? I purchased it from Flipkart. Check out now!

You can write anything you learn every day and keep it as a memo for the future. What all things you've done when you were studying that language? What all things you learned on your own? When you made a complete sentence in that language? See... It'll be fun to read after 2 or 3 years. It is like watching a baby growing. It's fun, right?

So, if you're preparing a Korean journal, what all things you'll write there?

Maybe,

Basic letters, words, then framing small sentences and expanding to paragraphs, etc.

Or,

Your future targets related to the Korean language and Korea.

Or, Reviews of your skills on an everyday basis.

Anything, and everything.

Write what you feel like writing.

I'll give you some examples that you could include in your journal.

  • Learn 10 words a day
  • Try to memorize and write those 10 words at the end of the day
  • Read a paragraph a day
  • Learn a song from that language
  • Watch a movie
  • Learn 2 idioms, 2 synonyms, 2 antonyms a day
  • Write a small paragraph in that language about your day.
You can include these things in your journal. Try it!

  1. Thankyou so much for this post! I'm a beginner and I found this idea to work for me! I'm a huge ARMY (for those of you who don't know, ARMY is the fandom name of BTS, an AMAZING K-Pop group!), MOA (TXT fandom name) and Uaena (IU fandom name). I started learning Korean to understand what they say without feeling like an outsider (the subtitles are wayyy too confusing sometimes, I'm sure it's relatable hehe) and this website is helping me a lot! Thankyou once again, with all my heart, love you for al the help!
