Location in Korean

It's been a week since we met, right? So...I was busy with some stuff...and, now I'm back with another chapter today!

So, let's start our chapter and I assure you that, by the end of this chapter, you'll learn to ask and answer locations in Korean. I had done a post on question words, and if you haven't read it yet, make sure to read, Okay? Yes!
Locations in Korean
See, when we tell the location of something, we always use either in front of, above, right side or in the back, under, left side, etc. These are the Korean terms for those location indicators. Let's see how it is used in sentences.
- 가방이 탁자 위에 있다 - The bag is on the table (gabangi takja wie ittda)
- 가방이 테이블 아래에 있다 - The bag is under the table (gabangi teibeul arae ittda)
- 가방은 테이블의 오른쪽에 있다 - The bag is on the right side of the table (gabangeun teibeului oreunjjoke ittda)
- 가방은 테이블의 왼쪽에 있다 - The bag is on the left side of the table (gabangeun teibeului oenjjoke ittda)
- 도서관은 학교 앞에 있다 - The library is in front of the school (doseogwaneun haggyo ape ittda)
- 운동장은 학교 뒤쪽에 있다 - The playground is at the back of the school (undongjangeun haggyo dwijjoke ittda)
Let's look at another example.
Q. 우체국이 어디에 있어요? Where is the post office? (uchegooki eodie isseoyo?)
A. 은행 옆에 있어요. It is next to the bank. (eunhaeng yeope isseoyo)Q. 한국어 책이 어디에 있어요? Where is the Korean book? (hangookeo chaegi eodie isseoyo?)
A. 가방 안에 있어요. It is in the bag. (gabang ane isseoyo)
See, this is just a piece of cake. All you have to do is just to memorize the terms like 위, 아래, 오른쪽, 왼쪽, 앞, 뒤, 옆, 안. etc and practice by making sentences on your own. I know it is difficult, but practicing is the only way to perfection.
