QUESTION WORDS IN THE KOREAN LANGUAGE- II
In the last chapter, we learned 6 question words in Korean. And, this chapter is the continuation of that. So, make sure you've read the first part too. As for the introduction, as I told in the previous part, there are mainly 12 question words in the Korean language. And, as for the most basic and important ones, we've discussed them in part one. So, read both parts completely to get a better understanding and flow.
So, in this chapter, we'll continue from where we left. Okay?

In part 1, we covered the first six, and in this part, we'll continue from the question word, 'Which'.
Which (어느 (eoneu) in Korean
This question word will not be very familiar to you, as it is used mainly to ask something to an unknown or unfamiliar person. So, the chances of hearing this question word in dramas or anything is rare. Of course, it is used in everyday conversation to ask any question containing 'which', but native Koreans use very informal words to replace when talking (unless it is a stranger). So, let's look at some examples.
- 어느 나라 사람이에요? Which country are you from? (eoneu nara saramieyo?)

What kind of (어떤 (eotteon) in Korean
This is usually used to ask an opinion about something. It can be a person or anything for that matter! Let's look at some examples.
- 다정은 어떤 사람입니까? What kind of person is DaJeong? (DaJeongeun eotteon saramibnikka?)
- 어떤 게임을 좋아요? What kind of games do you like? (eotteon geimeul johayo?)
What kind of (무슨 museun) in Korean
If 어떤 is used to ask opinions about a living thing, then 무슨 is used to ask about a non-living thing. We don't use 무슨 to ask about people, generally!
Let's look at examples.
- 무슨 음식을 좋아요? What kind of food do you like? (musuen eumsikeul jahayo?)
- 무슨 소리야? What kind of noise is that? (museun soriya?)

How much (얼마 (eolma) in Korean
This is pretty familiar, right? You must've heard this one in dramas and movies, like many times! Yes. This question word is mainly used to ask the price of something whenever you go to buy things. Let's practice with some examples.
- 이게 얼마예요? How much is this? (ige eolmayeyo?)
- 두 사람 비용은 얼마인가요? How much does it cost for two people? (doo saram piyongeun eolmaingayo?)
How long/much (얼마나 (eolmana) in Korean
I'm sure that at least many of you would've heard this sentence "내가 얼마나 기다렸는지 알아?" naega eolmana gidaryeoneunji ara? (Do you know how long I've been waiting?) Haven't you heard this? If NO is your answer, then I assume that you're not a real Kdrama fan. Even my mom knows this! I'm kidding. But yes! This is often used in dramas. So, shall we look at an example?
- 서울까지 얼마나 걸릴까요? How long will it take to Seoul? (seoulkkaji eolmana geollilkkayo?)
How many (몇 (myeot) in Korean
The last one! (At least to my knowledge). This question word is used to ask how many or the number of things! This is usually used with 명(myeong) for people, 개(gae) for objects and 시 for time. For example,
- 가족이 몇 명이에요? How many people are there in your family? (gajogi myeot myeongieyo?)
- 책상이 몇 개예요? How many desks are there? (chaegsangi myeot gaeyeyo?)
- 지금 몇 시예요? What time is it now? (Jigeum myeot siyeyo?)
